The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that Chris Clackson has been loaned to the Houston Aeros and makes his third appearance in the American Hockey League this season. Clackson returns to Houston after he was assigned to the Gladiators on Jan.29.
Clackson appeared in four games with the Aeros and earned an assist in his first appearance with Houston this season. It was his second trip to the AHL this season after he skated in one game with Rochester in October. He has one assist in five AHL games this season.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound winger has 22 points (9g-13a) in 31 games with the Gladiators this season. Clackson currently leads the Gladiators with a +14 rating.
Clackson split time with Greenville, Cincinnati and Rochester last season. He had four points (2g-2a) in 17 games in the AHL with Rochester. He earned 13 points (5g-8a) in 27 games with Cincinnati and had 11 points (5g-6a) in 19 games with Greenville last season.
The Pittsburgh, Pa. native appeared in two games but did not register a point for Adirondak after his senior season at Western Michigan University in 2009-10. In four collegiate seasons as a Bronco, Clackson earned 36 points (19g-17a) in 129 career collegiate games from 2006-2010.
