Gladiators Sign Schell

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that they have signed forward Brad Schell, who was named the 2007 CCM Vector ECHL Most Valuable Player after leading the league with 85 assists and 110 points.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

Schell, who has two penalty minutes in one game for San Antonio this season, joined the Gladiators in February in 2007-08 and had 38 points (8g-30a) in 29 regular season games and seven points (1g-6a) in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games.

In 2006-07 he was named First Team All-ECHL and was selected as a starter for the 2007 ECHL All-Star Game where he scored the first goal in the American Conference’s 6-3 win.
