DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk has been called up to Chicago of the American Hockey League. Gwinnett is the ECHL affiliate of Chicago of the AHL and Atlanta of the National Hockey League.
The 24-year-old Van Buskirk had two penalty minutes in Chicago’s 2-0 win against San Antonio on Saturday. Van Buskirk ranks third among Gwinnett defensemen with nine points (1g-8a) in 19 games.
In 2003-04 with Florida of the ECHL, the 6-2 and 215-pound Van Buskirk scored 15 points (2g-13a) in 27 regular season games.
