Goepfert Recalled To Charlotte

ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that goaltender Bobby Goepfert has been recalled to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

 

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Checkers and the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League.

 

Goepfert heads to the AHL for the first time this season after appearing in 23 games with the Everblades posting a 13-8-1 record with a 2.67 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

 

 

The 27-year-old finished the month of December with a 6-2-1 mark and a 2.40 GAA.  Goepfert, who played overseas in Germany last season, split his first two professional seasons between the ECHL and AHL. 

 

 

The Queens, New York native saw action in 13 games with the South Carolina Stingrays in 2008-09 going 7-2-4 with a 1.99 GAA and a .937 save percentage.  He also played in four games at the AHL level with Hershey and Portland that season combining to go 1-1-1 with a 2.58 GAA.
