Greenville Acquires Shields,
Signs Pszenyczny, Kovalcik

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl announced that they have acquired forward Colin Shields (pictured) from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies to complete the trade for center Jean-Francois Plourde. The team also announced that it has signed defenseman Dan Pszenyczny and Chris Kovalcik.

In his first professional season, Shields has 18 points (6g-12a) in 19 games with Atlantic City after beginning the season with San Diego where he scored 14 points (3g-11a) in 34 games.

Selected in the sixth round (195th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Shields scored 44 points (18g-26a) in 44 games with the University of Maine in 2003-04.
