PRINCETON, N.J. – Utah Grizzlies left wing Ryan Kinasewich is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 26, 2005-Jan. 1, 2006.
Scoring in all five of Utah’s games last week, the 22-year-old Kinasewich had 13 points (5g-8a) while helping the Grizzlies go 3-2-0 to improve to 19-11-2 and move into a tie for third place with Idaho at 40 points.
After beginning the week with six points in two games against Idaho, including four points (1g-3a) in a 6-5 win on Dec. 27, the 6-foot-2 and 202-pounder scored his second hat trick of the season with three power-play goals in a 6-5 overtime win at Las Vegas on Dec. 30, ending Las Vegas ECHL season-high and team record 12-game winning streak. The following night at home against the Wranglers, Kinasewich had three points (1g-2a) as Utah ended Las Vegas ECHL record-tying 10-game road winning streak.
Kinasewich ranks second on the team with 13 goals and 31 points in 21 games and he led the Grizzlies in December with 24 points (10g-14a) in 13 games. He has an eight-game scoring streak in which he is averaging over two points per game (8g-11a).
