Grizzlies Loan Craig To Manitoba
Escobedo Announces Retirement

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The Utah Grizzlies announced that ECHL All-Star rookie forward Matt Craig has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League and that defenseman Brian Escobedo has announced his retirement.

The 23-year-old Craig leads the team and ECHL rookies with five game-winning goals which tie him for the overall league lead while he is second among league rookies and fourth overall and with a team-leading 22 goals and third among rookies and seventh overall with a team-high 42 points while playing in all 38 games for Utah.

Signed by Utah on Nov. 18 after being released by Stockton, Escobedo had 10 points (1g-9a) in 27 games for Utah and had two assists and eight penalty minutes in seven games with the Thunder.
