Grizzlies Re-Sign Leading Scorer Kinsasewich

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The Utah Grizzlies announced that they have re-signed forward Ryan Kinasewich, who has led the team in scoring each of the last three seasons.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. The head coach of the Islanders is Scott Gordon while former ECHL player Daniel Lacroix is an assistant coach. Former ECHL coach and executive Jack Capuano is head coach of Bridgeport while the assistant coaches are 2003-04 ECHL Coach of the Year and former ECHL player Pat Bingham and former Johnstown Chiefs assistant coach Matthew Bertani.

The 25-year-old Kinasewich had 60 points (23g-37a) and 48 penalty minutes in 44 regular season games and 12 points (8g-4a) and 20 penalty minutes in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games for Utah in 2007-08 while also playing in the AHL where he had five points (3g-2a) and 12 penalty minutes in 24 games for Bridgeport.
