Grizzlies sign rookies Wojtala, Kapalka


West Valley City, Utah – Utah Grizzlies Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham announced that the team has signed rookie forward Camden Wojtala and rookie goaltender Kevin Kapalka.

The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Anaheim Ducks and the American Hockey League’s Norfolk Admirals.

Wojtala comes to the Grizzlies from Bowling Green State University where he was team captain during his junior and senior seasons and was a 2013-2014 WCHA Scholar Athlete recipient. He totaled 68 points (27g-41a) in 156 games during his college career.

Kapalka went 2-1 with the Idaho Steelheads last year after completing his college career at Lake Superior State University where he went 47-45-15 with nine shutouts, a 2.62 goals-against-average and .919 save percentage.
