GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl announced that they have reached an affiliation agreement for the second consecutive year with the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.
The Grrrowl will continue to be the ECHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL and the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
“This is another great chapter for Grrrowl hockey,” said Grrrowl general manager Ryan Stewart. “We continue a great affiliation that provided good young prospects last year, which ultimately helped in our 50-point turnaround from the 03-04 season. Once again, I think they value John’s player development skills and for that we are rewarded.”
“We are pleased to continue the affiliation with Greenville for the upcoming season,” said Oilers assistant general manager Scott Howson. “We believe that John Marks is an ideal coach for the younger players in our development system.”
