Grrrowl Sign Three Rookies,
Loan Ziedins, Shields To National Teams

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl announced that they have signed rookie right wings Dylan Stanley and David Herring and rookie defenseman Mike Knight. The three players are all expected to be in uniform on Wednesday when Greenville plays at Columbia.

The Grrrowl also announced that forward Maris Ziedins has been loaned to the Latvian National Team and that forward Colin Shields has been loaned to the Great Britain National Team. Both players have been asked to play in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships in Austria.

Forward Sam Paolini, who has five points (2g-3a) in seven games for Greenville, has been loaned to Rochester of the American Hockey League. A native of Rochester, Paolini scored one goal in four games with the Americans in 2003-04. It is the fourth trip to the AHL for Paolini, who has three assists in four games with Cleveland while also playing in a game for Utah and a game for San Antonio.
