GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl announced that they have signed right wing Adam Nightingale (pictured) and that left wing Alex Kojevnikov has been recalled to Norfolk of the American Hockey League. Greenville is the ECHL affiliate of Norfolk of the AHL and Chicago of the National Hockey League.
Nightingale made his professional debut in the Grrrowl’s 2-0 win at South Carolina on Tuesday. He completed his career at Michigan State University on Saturday and scored five points (2g-3a) in 31 games in 2004-05. Nightingale scored 21 points (11g-10a) in 67 career games and was an assistant captain in each of his two seasons at Michigan State.
In his first professional season and under contract to Chicago of the NHL, the 20-year-old Kojevnikov has 18 points (11g-7a) and 46 penalty minutes in 56 games with Greenville.
