Grrrowl’s Mallette Called Up To Cincinnati

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl announced that center Carl Mallette has been called up to the American Hockey League by Cincinnati and that he will be in uniform when the Mighty Ducks play at Chicago on Wednesday.

It is the first call up to the AHL for the 23-year-old Mallette, who was selected in the fourth round (107th overall) by Atlanta in the 2000 National Hockey League Entry Draft and who is in his second professional season. Mallette leads the ECHL with 11 goals and is tied for second in the league with 21 points (11g-10a) in 17 games.

Mallette was named the CCM TACKS ECHL Player of the Month for November after leading Greenville with eight goals, two game-winning goals and 16 points in 12 games.
