Gulls Sign Moscevsky,
Gornick Recalled To Syracuse

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Gulls announced that forward Yuri Moscevsky (pictured) has been signed and that forward Brian Gornick has been recalled to Syracuse of the American Hockey League. San Diego also announced that left wing Curtis Brown has been placed on team suspension.

The 26-year-old Moscevsky has played 32 games with Long Beach of the ECHL, six points (3g-3a) and accumulating a team-leading 228 penalty minutes. He also played in the AHL with Milwaukee, registering 14 penalty minutes in three games, and Syracuse, scoring one goal while accumulating 29 penalty minutes in nine games.

Under contract to Syracuse, the 25-year-old Gornick had a team-leading 23 goals and was tied for the team lead with 46 points in 67 games for San Diego. Selected in the ninth round (258th overall) by Anaheim in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-5 and 210-pound Gornick scored 24 points (9g-15a) in 21 games with San Diego in 2003-04.
