Gulls Trade Garrow To Mississippi,
Rights To Borders To Las Vegas

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Gulls announced that they have traded defenseman Mike Garrow (pictured) to Mississippi in exchange for center Nicolas Corbeil. The Gulls also announced that they have traded the rights to left wing Scott Borders to Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old Garrow had 29 points (8g-21a) and 34 penalty minutes in 46 games for San Diego. The 6-1 and 210-pound Garrow began playing for San Diego in 2002-03, its last season in the now-defunct West Coast Hockey League. In 163 career games with the Gulls, Garrow had 103 points (31g-72a) which ranks seventh all-time among San Diego defensemen.

The 23-year-old Borders had 10 points (7g-3a) and 61 penalty minutes in 41 games for San Diego. The 6-2 and 212-pound Borders played two seasons with Fresno where he was named to the WCHL All-Rookie Team in 2002-03 and helped Fresno win the WCHL Championship.
