Gwinnett Signs Dobek
Awe Recalled From Gladiators To Houston

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that All-Star defenseman Jon Awe has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Houston Aeros and that they have signed forward Bryan Dobek.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Named ECHL Defenseman of the Year in 2006-07, Awe has seven points (2g-5a) and 12 penalty minutes in 11 games for Gwinnett while also playing one game for Houston.

The 5-foot-10 and 185-pound Dobek had six points (3g-3a) and 10 penalty minutes in 35 games for Gwinnett as a rookie in 2006-07.
