Hartford Recalls Westlund From Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers announced that goaltender Alex Westlund has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The Checkers are the ECHL affiliate of the Wolf Pack of the AHL and the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (122nd overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and under AHL contract to Hartford, the 31-year-old is 16-7-1 with a goals-against average of 2.73 and a save percentage of .914 in 25 games for Charlotte and is 1-1-0 with a goals-against average of 1.87 and a save percentage of .938 in four games with Hartford.
