Hemingway, Lynch Join Aces

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Aces announced that left wing Colin Hemingway and defenseman Doug Lynch are expected to be in the lineup this weekend.

Selected in the eighth round (221st overall) by the St. Louis Blues in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Hemingway scored 15 points (7g-8a) in 16 games with Peoria of the American Hockey League and also played three games for the Blues earlier this season before being injured.

Selected in the second round (43rd overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old Lynch scored a goal and had an assist for Alaska in a 6-1 win against Phoenix on Jan. 11, but was injured three days later and has missed the last 19 games. He has two points (1g-1a) in four games with the Aces and two assists and 57 penalty minutes in 29 games for Peoria.
