Herneisen Returns To Bombers

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that they have re-signed right wing Matt Herneisen.

In 2004-05 with the Bombers, the 23-year-old Herneisen had his best season as a professional registering career bests with 11 goals, 19 assists, 30 points, 172 penalty minutes and 56 games.

Herneisen began his professional career in 2002-03 with Trenton after completing his season with Sault Ste Marie in the Ontario Hockey League where he had 61 points (27g-34a) and 101 penalty minutes in 68 regular season games and one assist and 11 penalty minutes in four playoff games. With Trenton, he had four penalty minutes in two regular season games and two penalty minutes in two Kelly Cup Playoff games.
