Hershey Of AHL Re-Signs Arsene

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Hershey Bears announced that they have signed former Charlotte and Reading defenseman Dean Arsene.

In 2004-05 with Hershey, the 25-year-old Arsene appeared in a career-best 56 AHL games and was named the team’s best defenseman after scoring six points (0g-6a) and finishing with a career-high 140 penalty minutes.

The 6-2 and 200-pound Arsene began his professional career in the ECHL in 2001-02 with Charlotte where he had 13 points (3g-10a) and 101 penalty minutes in 63 regular season games and two assists and 16 penalty minutes in five Kelly Cup Playoff games.

He returned to the ECHL in 2003-04 with Reading and had six assists and 118 penalty minutes in 46 regular season games and six points (1g-5a) and 34 penalty minutes in 15 Kelly Cup Playoff games while also picking up two assists and 44 penalty minutes in 22 regular season games with Hershey.
