Holt Called Up To Rangers

NEW YORK – The New York Rangers announced that they have recalled rookie goaltender Chris Holt from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the sixth round (180th overall) by New York in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Rangers, the 20-year-old began the season in the ECHL with Charlotte and is 6-6-0 with goals against of 3.73 and a save percentage of .899 in 16 games with the Checkers and 2-2-1 with goals against of 4.39 and a save percentage of .874 in eight games with Hartford.

He made his NHL debut on Dec. 3 at Washington and made two saves and did not allow a goal in 10:24 of action.

Holt joins Mike Morrison (Greenville and Edmonton), Mike Dunham (Gwinnett and Atlanta), Adam Berkhoel (Gwinnett and Atlanta) and Rob McVicar (Victoria and Vancouver) as goaltenders who have played in both the ECHL and the NHL this season.
