Hughesman named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

 

Adam Hughesman of the Las Vegas Wranglers is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 3-9.

 

Hughesman scored three goals and added four assists in three games last week as the Wranglers went 2-1-0.

 

The 23-year-old had two assists in a 5-3 win at Idaho on Wednesday, scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-2 victory over the Steelheads on Friday and tallied three points (1g-2a) in a 6-5 loss against Idaho on Saturday.

 

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Hughesman leads the Wranglers with 19 goals and 38 points in 45 games this season.

 

Hughesman has tallied 69 points (32g-37a) in 113 career games with Las Vegas. Prior to turning pro, he recorded 350 points (140g-210a) in 338 career games with Tri-City of the Western Hockey League.

 

On behalf of Adam Hughesman, a case of pucks will be donated to a Las Vegas youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 29,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
