Hurricanes Reassign Kowalski To Everblades

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League have reassigned goaltender Craig Kowalski to the Everblades.

Kowalski has spent the last seven days in the NHL serving as the backup goaltender for the Hurricanes.

Selected in the eighth round (235th overall) by Carolina in the 2000 National Hockey League Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Hurricanes, the 26-year-old is 24-11-3 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.69 and a save percentage of .916 save percentage in 38 games with the Everblades.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the NHL and the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.
