Ice Dogs, McAslan Agree To Terms

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced that they have agreed to terms with right wing Sean McAslan.

The Ice Dogs are the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League and the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

The 6-foot-1 and 192-pound McAslan, who will attend training camp with Cleveland of the AHL, has played each of the past two seasons in the AHL. He had 11 points (6g-5a) in 64 games with Edmonton in 2004-05 and 27 points (12g-15a) in 62 regular season games and one assist in three playoff games with Toronto in 2003-04.

In his first professional season in 2001-02, the 6-1 and 190-pound McAslan scored 37 points (16g-21a) and had 139 penalty minutes in 72 games with Columbus. Signed as a free agent by the Oilers in March 2001, McAslan returned to Columbus in 2002-03, scoring 32 points (15g-17a) with 132 penalty minutes in 53 games, and also played one game with Hamilton in the American Hockey League.
