Ice Dogs’ Michaud Called Up To Hamilton

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced that goaltender Olivier Michaud has been called up to Hamilton of the American Hockey League. Long Beach is the ECHL affiliate of Hamilton of the AHL and Montreal of the National Hockey League.

Under contract to Montreal of the NHL, the 21-year-old Michaud is 4-7-1 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 2.92 and a save percentage of .910 in 13 games with the Ice Dogs.

In his first professional season in 2003-04, Michaud played in the AHL with Hamilton, going 4-7-3 with a goals-against average of 2.53 and a save percentage of .905, and in the ECHL with Columbus, going 8-10-2 with a goals-against average of 3.01 and a save percentage of .896.
