Ice Dogs’ Rosa Named Reebok Hockey
ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. – Long Beach rookie center Marco Rosa is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for January, leading the ECHL with a plus-minus rating of +17.

The 23-year-old, Rosa finished +2 or better in six games and was plus or even in all but one of 17 games in January. He scored in 15 of the 17 games, including an eight-game scoring streak from January 12-22 (5g-6a). He had a five-game goal-scoring streak from January 15-21, tying him with five players for the second-longest goal-scoring streak in the league in 2004-05. He ended the month scoring a goal in three consecutive games (3g) and opens February with a three-game scoring streak (3g-1a). He scored the game-winning overtime goal on January 28 against Bakersfield, a win that allowed Long Beach to move into a first-place tie in the West Division with Bakersfield. Rosa led the Ice Dogs in January with 10 goals and was second on the team with 21 points.
