Ice Dogs, Watson Agree To Terms

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman and team captain Dan Watson, who will also add the duties of player/assistant coach.

The 6-2 and 220-pound Watson had 17 points (5g-12a) and 114 penalty minutes in 69 regular season games and helped the Ice Dogs advance to the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

In five professional seasons, the 25-year-old Watson has 61 points (18g-43a) and 266 penalty minutes in 327 regular season games and two goals and 18 penalty minutes in 15 postseason games.

He has played parts of four seasons in the American Hockey League, registering 27 points (8g-19a) and 91 penalty minutes in 193 regular season games and six penalty minutes in four playoff games.
