Ice Pilots’ Rankin Called Up To Bridgeport

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that All-Star rookie forward Rob Rankin has been called up to the American Hockey League by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

The Ice Pilots are the ECHL affiliate of Bridgeport of the AHL and the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League.

Rankin is expected to be available for the Sound Tigers game against Philadelphia on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has 45 points (15g-30a) and 131 penalty minutes in 58 games for Pensacola.
