Ice Pilots Relieve Adduono Of Duties
Dupont Named Interim Head Coach

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that they relieved Rick Adduono of his duties as head coach. Assistant coach George Dupont, who joined the team on Dec. 10, has been named interim head coach with a permanent decision on the head coach position to be made at the end of the season.

Before joining Pensacola, Dupont was head coach and general manager of the Milton Junior Ice Hawks in the Ontario Hockey Association where he had a record of 83-32-6 and advanced to the postseason each of his three seasons behind the bench.

He coached Tupelo in the Western Professional Hockey League for two seasons and was 77-48-16, reaching the playoffs both seasons. Tupelo was 46-20-5 and won the Governors Cup for best regular season record in 2000-01.
