Ice Pilots Sign Maple Leafs’ Prospect Noel

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that they have signed rookie center Dominic Noel, a highly-regarded prospect of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Ice Pilots are the ECHL affiliate of the Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

The 24-year-old played for Dalhousie University from 2002-05 had 85 points (41g-44a) in 80 games, including 19 points (10g-9a) in 24 games in 2004-05.

The 6-foot-2 and 195-pound Noel played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1998-2002 with Moncton and Cape Breton scoring 243 points (100g-143a) in 257 regular season games and 40 points (25g-15a) in 36 playoff games.
