IceGators Receive Flache,
Sawruk From Gwinnett

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana IceGators announced that the team has traded center Pascal Pelletier to the Gwinnett Gladiators in exchange for center Peter Flache and that the team has received right wing Alex Sawruk from Gwinnett in exchange for future considerations.

Selected in the ninth round (262nd overall) by Chicago in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-5 and 210-pound Flache has 37 points (8g-29a) and 81 penalty minutes in 60 games with Gwinnett while Sawruk has 11 points (3g-8a) and 14 penalty minutes in 29 games for the Gladiators.

Louisiana also announced that Toronto of the National Hockey League has reassigned defenseman David Turon to the IceGators and that Houston of the American Hockey League has recalled defenseman Maxime Fortunus and left wing David Bararuk. Turon is expected to be in uniform for the IceGators game on Wednesday game against Pee Dee while Fortunus and Bararuk are both expected to be available for Houston’s game against Utah on Wednesday.
