IceMen add forward Shelast

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Evansville IceMen have agreed to terms with right wing Tyler Shelast for the 2012-13 season.

 

The IceMen are the ECHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

 

Last season, Shelast tallied 11 points (4g-7a) in 37 games with Stockton, Trenton, Florida and South Carolina. The 27-year-old enjoyed his best season as a pro in 2010-11 scoring 41 points (19g-22a) in 53 games with Quad City of the Central Hockey League.

 

As a rookie in 2008-09, Shelast suited up in 31 games with the Idaho Steelheads, notching 21 points (9g-12a) while also registering three points (2g-1a) in 17 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

 

Prior to turning pro, the Kelowna, British Columbia native played four seasons at Michigan Tech University, where he scored 87 points (51g-36a) in 151 career games.
