Idaho Acquires Johnson From Thunder
McConvey Reassigned From Iowa To Steelheads

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that they have acquired defenseman Tony Johnson from the Stockton Thunder in exchange for rookie center Kevin Gardner and that team captain and ECHL All-Star Game starter D’Arcy McConvey has been reassigned to Idaho from the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Iowa Stars of the AHL and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

McConvey, who is scoreless in eight games with Iowa and has not played for the Steelheads since Dec. 27, has 36 points (16g-20a) and 57 penalty minutes in 23 games with the Steelheads.

The 25-year-old Johnson has seven points (1g-6a) and 27 penalty minutes in 24 games for Stockton.
