BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that the “Pink In The Rink” jersey auction raised $21,791 which is the largest amount the team has ever raised from a jersey auction at Qwest Arena.
The proceeds go to St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center’s Mountain States Tumor Institute. The Steelheads have now raised approximately $120,000 for St. Lukes through jersey auctions.
The team wore the jerseys for a three-game series against the Phoenix RoadRunners with the jerseys being sold by silent auction during the games. Fans were able to bid or could purchase a jersey outright for $1,000. The jerseys were presented to the high bidder by the Steelheads player immediately following the game on Saturday.
