Idaho Re-Signs All-Star Defenseman Cornacchia

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads have re-signed defenseman David Cornacchia, who helped the Steelheads capture the 2004 ECHL Kelly Cup Championship.

In 2003-04 with Idaho, the 5-11 and 200-pound Cornacchia scored 43 points (9g-34a) and had 98 penalty minutes in 60 regular season games and was a member of the Western Conference for the 2004 ECHL All-Star Game. He scored the game-winning goal in Game 2 of the Kelly Cup Finals and finished with eight points (1g-7a) while playing in all 18 of Idaho’s games the Kelly Cup Playoffs. He also played in the American Hockey League with Utah in 2003-04, registering one assist and eight penalty minutes in 13 games.
