Idaho’s Kinkel Suspended Three Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced that it has suspended Idaho left wing Bill Kinkel for three games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #721 at Fresno on Mar. 11.

Kinkel was assessed a match penalty under Rule 21.1 Attempt To Injure at 9:57 of the first period.

He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Kinkel will miss Idaho’s games vs. Stockton (Mar. 19), vs. Stockton (Mar. 21) and vs. Stockton (Mar. 22).
