Inferno Acquires Miles

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Columbia Inferno announced that they have acquired defenseman Scott Basiuk from the Bakersfield Condors to complete the Dec. 21 trade that sent center David Bonk to Bakersfield.

The Inferno also announced that they have traded Basiuk and defenseman Eric Nelson to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for center Jeff Miles.

Selected in the ninth round (268th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and in his second full professional season, the 24-year-old Miles has 45 points (20g-25a) and 49 penalty minutes in 45 games with Utah and has also played three games in the American Hockey League with Milwaukee.
