Islanders Sign Brennan

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League announced that the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League have signed left wing Kip Brennan, who played in the ECHL in 2006-07.

The Utah Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Islanders of the NHL and the Sound Tigers of the AHL.

The 6-foot-4 and 220-pound Brennan had five points (2g-3a) and 74 penalty minutes in 11 games with Long Beach while also playing in the AHL where he had six penalty minutes in one game with Toronto and six points (4g-2a) and 67 penalty minutes in 26 regular season games and one assist and 30 penalty minutes in six playoff games with Hershey.
