Jackals add Miller, loan Radja to Houston

The Elmira Jackals announced on Wednesday that they have re-signed veteran forward Kelly Miller to a standard player contract and that they have loaned forward Mike Radja to the AHL’s Houston Aeros.

Miller, a 12th-year pro, skated in his first two games with the Jackals on Dec. 30 and 31. In 26 games this season with the FHL’s Danbury Whalers, Miller has scored 16 goals and added 16 assists for 32 points.

Miller has played in 154 career ECHL contests for four teams, totaling 26 goals and 28 assists for 54 points. The Toledo, Ohio native skated for the Wheeling Nailers in 2010-11, scoring eight goals and adding three assists for 11 points in 21 games. Miller played in seven games under Jackals coach Pat Bingham with the UHL’s Fort Wayne Komets in 2006-2007. In his pro career, Miller has registered 112 goals and 129 assists for 241 points in 505 contests.

Radja, a fourth-year pro, leads the Jackals with 17 goals and has added 17 assists for 34 points. He re-joined the Jackals last Sunday after spending the previous two weeks with the Aeros and netted his ECHL-leading eighth shootout goal of the season in Elmira’s 4-3 loss to South Carolina. Radja has two goals and three assists for five points in seven games with Houston this season. This is his second stint with the club in 2011-12.
