Jackals Sign Coulombe And Dubuc, Trade Tanguay

The Elmira Jackals announced Tuesday that they have signed defenseman Patrick Coulombe and forward Michael Dubuc to standard player contracts for the 2010-2011 season and have traded forward Maxime Tanguay to the Alaska Aces in exchange for future considerations.

The Jackals are the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks and Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League and the Syracuse Crunch and Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

Coulombe, who has seven games of NHL experience under his belt entering his fifth professional campaign, has skated the majority of his career with the Victoria Salmon Kings. The St. Fabien, Quebec native led the Salmon Kings in plus-minus at +14 in 2009-2010 and +20 in 2008-2009 while totaling 81 points (23g-58a) over his three-plus years with the club.

Dubuc had been participating in Jackals training camp under a tryout agreement.
