TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans announced that defenseman Mike Jarmuth has been assigned to the team by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
The Titans are the ECHL affiliate of the Sound Tigers and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League and the New York Islanders and the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.
The 23-year-old signed with Bridgeport in September and was sent to Trenton after spending training camp with both the Islanders and the Sound Tigers. He was recalled to Bridgeport on October 13 and has one assist and two penalty minutes in seven games with the Sound Tigers.
In 2004-05, Jarmuth became the first Mississippi player ever to be named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team when he had 36 points (13g-23a) and played in all 72 regular season games and all four Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Sea Wolves.
