Tuesday’s ECHL schedule is highlighted by a pair of Western Conference games. In Colorado, the Ontario Reign can capture their second Pacific Division title in the last four seasons with a win against the Eagles coupled with a Las Vegas regulation loss. The Reign are returning to the postseason for the first time since their inaugural 2008-09 season, when they also captured a division title. Ontario has been one of the hottest teams in the league since the start of 2012, posting a record of 25-7-5 since Jan. 1. The Reign are tied for second in the league with 19 road wins this season, the most since the club moved to Ontario.
The Alaska Aces look to capture their second consecutive Brabham Cup, and third in team history, as regular-season champions tonight in Las Vegas. An Alaska win, coupled with an Ontario regulation loss, will clinch the regular-season championship. The Aces would also earn a bye in the Western Conference Quarterfinals as the number one seed in the Western Conference. Alaska has gone 6-2-2 in its last 10 games, and has started its season-ending nine-game road trip with a 3-1-1 record.
