Kings Reassign Rookie Taylor To Wheeling

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Nailers announced that the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League have assigned Danny Taylor to the Nailers, and that they have traded rookie defenseman Mark Malone to the Bakersfield Condors in exchange for future considerations.

Selected in the seventh round (221st overall) by Los Angeles in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Kings, the 20-year-old Taylor began the season with Bakersfield and was 7-7-2 with a goals-against average of 4.33 and a save percentage of .872 in 17 games.

The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
