Langkow returns to South Carolina
North Charleston, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Chris Langkow.
Acquired in a trade with the Reading Royals in early November last season, Langkow, 24, buried a career-high 37 points (18g-19a) in 46 games with the Stingrays and added three assists in four Kelly Cup Playoff contests. In nine games with the Royals, the Vegreville, Alberta native netted two goals and two assists for four points.
Over a three-year professional career, Langkow has totaled 87 points (38g-49a) in 127 ECHL contests with Alaska, Reading and South Carolina and helped the Aces capture the Kelly Cup in 2011. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound forward has also seen action in the American Hockey League with the Peoria Rivermen and Bridgeport Sound Tigers adding eight points (2g-6a) in 15 games.
