Las Vegas Agrees To Terms With Beynon, Hamilton

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced that they have agreed to terms with center Mike Hamilton (pictured) and rookie defenseman Michael Beynon.

The Wranglers are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League and the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League. Former Dayton Bombers coach Jim Playfair is associate coach for Calgary while former ECHL player Jamie McLennan is the director of goaltender development for the Flames.

Selected in the sixth round (175th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Hamilton had 50 points (23g-27a) and 121 penalty minutes in 72 regular season games and eight points (2g-6a) and 16 penalty minutes in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games for Gwinnett as a rookie in 2007-08. He also played in the AHL where he had one goal and two penalty minutes in six playoff games for Chicago.

The 25-year-old Beynon signed with Idaho on Mar. 27 after completing his career at Union College and he played in four regular season games and had one assist in six Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Steelheads.
