Lightning Reassigns Chiefs’ All-Star Boutin

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Chiefs announced that the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League have reassigned All-Star rookie goaltender Jonathan Boutin to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

The Chiefs are the ECHL affiliate of the Lightning of the NHL and the Falcons of the AHL.

Selected in the third round (96th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Lightning, the 20-year-old Boutin is 8-9-2 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.93 and a save percentage of .920 in 19 games with Johnstown and 0-1-1 with a goals-against average of 1.93 and a save percentage of .945 in two games with Springfield.
