ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that goaltender Phil Osaer and defenseman Martin Lojek have been assigned to the team by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Osaer was called up to Rochester on Nov. 24 and allowed three goals on 36 shots in a 3-2 loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Nov. 25. The 25-year-old has won his last five games, including a 34-save shutout in his last start on Nov. 23 at Columbia, and is 5-1-0 with a goals-against average of 2.44 and a save percentage of .920 in six games with the Everblades.
Lojek, who was called up to Rochester on Nov. 14 and played on game with the Americans, has four points (1g-3a) in five games with the Everblades. Selected in the fourth round (105th overall) by the Panthers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old Lojek has played each of the past three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with Brampton where he had 47 points (5g-42a) and 144 penalty minutes in 191 regular season games and five assists and 14 penalty minutes in 29 playoff games.
