Lowell Assigns Kowalski,
Saviano To Everblades

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that goaltender Craig Kowalski and forward Steve Saviano have been assigned by the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Lock Monsters of the AHL and the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

In his rookie season in 2004-05, the 24-year-old Saviano had 52 points (14g-38a) in 58 regular season and 18 points (4g-14a) in 17 Kelly Cup Playoff games for the Everblades while also picking up an assist in six games with Lowell.

Selected in the eighth round (235th overall) by Carolina in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Kowalski was 3-0 with a goals-against average of 3.27 and a save percentage of .875 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs after going 13-6-6 with a goals-against average of 2.87 and a save percentage of .906 in the regular season.
