Lowell Signs Goaltender Caruso

LOWELL, Mass. – The Lowell Devils of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed goaltender Dave Caruso, who has played in the ECHL each of his first two professional seasons.

The Trenton Devils are owned and operated by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League and are the ECHL affiliate of New Jersey and Lowell of the American Hockey League.

In his second professional season in 2007-08, the 26 year old was 13-16-4 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.59 and a save percentage of .917 in 34 games with Trenton while also playing in the AHL where he was 7-8-0 with a goals-against average of 3.29 and a save percentage of .894 in 16 games with Lowell.

Caruso was 23-11-4 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 3.13 and a save percentage of .904 in 38 regular season games and 1-2 with a goals-against average of 2.71 and a save percentage of .925 in three Kelly Cup Playoff games for Gwinnett as a rookie in 2006-07.
