Lutes heads back to Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced today that the team has agreed to terms with left wing Brett Lutes for the 2013-14 season. Lutes becomes the first player added to the team's roster.
Lutes, 31, returns to Bakersfield where he played three seasons beginning with his rookie campaign in 2004-05 and then back-to-back seasons in 2006-07 and 2007-08. With the Condors, Lutes played 201 games, scoring 74 goals and adding 95 assists for 169 points. His best season came in 2006-07 when he led the team in goals with 34 and finished second on the team in scoring with 70 points in 67 games.
A veteran of 463 regular season games, Lutes has played in the ECHL, Central Hockey League, United Hockey League and Germany's Second Division. Last season, the Riverview, New Brunswick native split the season between Denver and Bloomington in the CHL with 12 goals and 33 assists for 45 points in 48 games.
